Santa's Little Helpers

Ron & I decided to give each other a bed frame for Christmas. Ron put it together early because we didn't have room to store the boxes until the 25th.The bed was from IKEA so Ron had to assemble the whole thing. Somebody else got really into it too!!
He just loves to do man-things with Dad. These plyers pluged up the screw holes very nicely.
We have this really cool chest of drawers built into the headboard. The drawers slide out sideways.
This is what it looks like all assembled.
I had to go to work before it was all done. We have a few glass figurines in our bedroom including a dog I painted for Ron on one of our first dates & the Salt Lake Temple that was on the top of our wedding cake.
While I was gone, Jett decided the dog made a pretty awesome hammer. It knocked of the temple spires very effectively. I'm sure he was very proud of his new trick. How can you be mad at such a curious & innocent boy? The breaks were really clean, so it can easily be superglued back together.

Happy Thanksgiving!!

Well, here it is... my first ever "all by myself" turkey. The skin was a little dark on top, but it peeled right off. Surprisingly, it wasn't even dry. I had to work Thanksgiving afternoon, so we ate later in the evening. Poor Jett was STARVING!! I gave him some marshmallow/fruit salad before everything was on the table to appease him. Big mistake! He wouldn't eat anything else.

Look how fancy-schmancy we were!
I'm thankful for my boys. They bring me such immeasureable joy & happiness. Who knew life could be so good? I love you two!!!

Little Jack Horner...

Well, when we told him to sit in the corner, maybe we should have been more specific.

Just kidding; we looked over one minute and "ta-da!", Jett had learned a new trick.

Let's talk Grown-ups

So, I know pretty much all of the postings are about Jett. Let's talk about Ron & Lindsey.

What we know:

-They make unbelievably cute offspring

-Ron is HOT! I mean, one piece of man-candy

-Lindsey is almost down to pre-pregnancy weight (after 1 year and 4 months) Maybe you'll see some pictures of me soon.

-We're IN LOVE (with each other) even after 3 WHOLE YEARS!

-Lindsey made Jett's Halloween costume, and yes, the pants are too short.

-Ron is totally kicking butt in nursing school. He has a full tuition scholarship & is the envy of most of his classmates.

-Lindsey was promoted to night manager at Smiths.

-We're doing great & love you all!

Just for Alivia!

Alivia, Jett loves to see your pictures on the blog. He got so excited when he saw your little video clip.

Um, Ya. He's Ours.

Look, Daddy dressed me!

Hey, Hey We're the Monkeys!!

Happy Halloween!

Has anyone seen my banana? I'm starving!

Just a Bunch of Melon Heads!

So this summer, I grew some flowers and mini-watermelons in a planter box I have. (It's a "just the right size garden".) We ended up with two melons, one from each plant. Once we picked them, Jett had a "ball". The fruit was just his size.

It made a great bowl too!

Nothing like bowling & a snack. We got two for the price of one!

PS. He was pretending to put somthing in his mouth. He "eats" the polka dots off his bed sheets too.

Spoon VS Fingers-Who will be the ultimate victor?!

Well,.. It looks like "Spoon" is starting out with a strong lead flayling off the competition, but wait...It looks like "Fingers" are itching to take the lead on the outside. Yes, ladies and gentlemen this may be a close one. I've haven't seen a competition like this since Diaper VS Free Willy.

Yes, yes, it looks like we have a winner....

Who would have guessed? The underdog, whom none of us saw coming, took it by storm..."Banana Cream Pudding" has captured the title, (along with Jett's nose, cheeks, arms, and hair).

The celebratory galla will be held 30 seconds from now, in the bathtub!!!

Yo-Ho-Yo-Ho-A Pirate's Life For Me!

Aye matey, can you point me to the poop deck?
Yar, Grandma Jean... I love my pirate ship. Now, walk the plank!

A Year in Review

Happy Birthday Jett!

Jett celebrated his very first birthday on June 19th!
Mmm...Chocolate

He went through three cupcakes! Yep, sugar overload but it's once a year & he's super skinny. Maybe it will plump him up a little.

What in the world do I do with this?

Gee, thanks. You shouldn't have.

We set up an outdoor "theater" and watched a collection of Pixar's short shows.

Taylors Come To Visit

We were spoiled to have our long lost Taylor relatives come to visit. Jett LOVED having a little person to play with. He thought all of the big-kid things Alivia could do were super-cool.

Alivia helped Aunt Lindsey make cookies. Here she is "decorating" the raw dough with half a bottle of sprinkles. Mmmm....Looks delicious.

She did a great job!

Allyson and Brian came over in the evenings after Alivia went to bed at Grandparent Taylor's house. The four of us had tons of fun playing games and catching up. Can't wait 'til July!!

Little Wildhorse Canyon

We recently went for a hike through a slot canyon next to Goblin Valley. This was my first hike since my broken leg and I did really well. Jett loved feeling the rock walls and yelling to hear his echo. Rumor has it that Butch Cassidy used this canyon to hide out in.

Yes, this is an actual part of the canyon you squeeze through.

Peek-a-Boo!!

Happy May to everyone! We had an awesome weekend down in St. George/Mesquite. Aunt Normandy graduated from Nursing school at Dixie, so we went down to party-hardy with her. Included in the WILD bunch was Gma & Gpa Jackson, Great Gma Jackson, & us.

Jett has a crush on Normandy. Can you blame him? Too bad she's too old, and related.

Grandpa's my bud.

VROOMM!!!!!

Watch out for this one, she has multiple DUIs.

Go Daddy, Go!!

My first bowling experience! I'm on Daddy's team because Mommy really stinks.

PS. Florescent bowling shoes with capris are all the new fashion rage!!
