I Love My Dad!

Ron & Jett are best buddies. They get to spend all afternoon together while mom works. Basically, they're inseparable! If Daddy's in the room, Jett won't look at anything else. All of his biggest, toothless grins are saved for Daddy. How lucky is Jett to have such a wonderful father who loves being an active part of his life. I hope he grows up to be just like Ron! I couldn't ask for a better man.

Ron's Shear Joy

Well, Ron finally got his wish and gave Jett his first trim. I was sad to see his fluffy locks go, but now Jett's hair is growing in even. Ron was thrilled. I don't think Jett even noticed.

A Crabby Group!

Jett and I met up with Grandma Sally, Grandpa Layne, Aunt Stephanie, Uncle Jason, and Cousin Autumn for lunch at Joe's Crab Shack.

Can there possibly be anything better in the world than Grandma!? Jett LOVES Grandma's snuggles and songs.

Grandpa Layne taught Jett how to use his bib to create an alternate identity. With his cape/bib, no one can stop SUPER BABY!!!

The Higley three...Ever wonder what Santa looked like as a young man?

Jett can't wait for fishing trips with uncle Jason, aunt Stephie and Autumn.

Jett loves seeing Autumn. He sees all the tricks she can do then spends the next few days trying to do them too. These two munchkins are just 3 months apart. Something tells me they're going to create a lot of mishchief together!

We came, We conquered!

In October, Jett, Grandma Jean, and I went to Topeka Kansas to visit Allyson, Brian, & Alivia Taylor. Jett went on his first jet ride and did great! You should have seen the scared faces of all the other passengers when they saw me carrying a baby on board. Unfortunately, they were disappointed because he made hardly a peep.

Cousin Alivia was Annie for Halloween and Jett was a seahorse. (I made his costume all by myself!)

Alivia and Jett soon became best buddies. First thing out of Alivia's mouth each morning was "where's baby Jett?" Alivia showed Jett how to play with all of her toys, taught him how to dance, and even shared her dinner ham with him. (In Kansas, choking hazards are a gesture of love and sharing.)

We made a trip up to the Omaha Zoo. We spent that night in the lap of luxury at the Hilton-courtesy of Grandpa Kevin's credit card :) The zoo had an awesome walk-through aquarium, underground bat cave, incredible gorilla habitat, and tiny tiger cubs!

And what Kansas trip would be complete without a trip to World's of Fun?! Alivia LOVED having Grandma Jean go on the rides with her. We even talked mom into going on one of the biggest, fastest roller coasters! Allyson and I suffered a couple blackeyes on the Timberwolf, but no permanent damage.

Our visit was SO MUCH FUN!! When can we go back again?
