I Love My Dad!

Ron & Jett are best buddies. They get to spend all afternoon together while mom works. Basically, they're inseparable! If Daddy's in the room, Jett won't look at anything else. All of his biggest, toothless grins are saved for Daddy. How lucky is Jett to have such a wonderful father who loves being an active part of his life. I hope he grows up to be just like Ron! I couldn't ask for a better man.

Ron's Shear Joy

Well, Ron finally got his wish and gave Jett his first trim. I was sad to see his fluffy locks go, but now Jett's hair is growing in even. Ron was thrilled. I don't think Jett even noticed.

A Crabby Group!

Jett and I met up with Grandma Sally, Grandpa Layne, Aunt Stephanie, Uncle Jason, and Cousin Autumn for lunch at Joe's Crab Shack.

Can there possibly be anything better in the world than Grandma!? Jett LOVES Grandma's snuggles and songs.

Grandpa Layne taught Jett how to use his bib to create an alternate identity. With his cape/bib, no one can stop SUPER BABY!!!

The Higley three...Ever wonder what Santa looked like as a young man?

Jett can't wait for fishing trips with uncle Jason, aunt Stephie and Autumn.

Jett loves seeing Autumn. He sees all the tricks she can do then spends the next few days trying to do them too. These two munchkins are just 3 months apart. Something tells me they're going to create a lot of mishchief together!

We came, We conquered!

In October, Jett, Grandma Jean, and I went to Topeka Kansas to visit Allyson, Brian, & Alivia Taylor. Jett went on his first jet ride and did great! You should have seen the scared faces of all the other passengers when they saw me carrying a baby on board. Unfortunately, they were disappointed because he made hardly a peep.

Cousin Alivia was Annie for Halloween and Jett was a seahorse. (I made his costume all by myself!)

Alivia and Jett soon became best buddies. First thing out of Alivia's mouth each morning was "where's baby Jett?" Alivia showed Jett how to play with all of her toys, taught him how to dance, and even shared her dinner ham with him. (In Kansas, choking hazards are a gesture of love and sharing.)

We made a trip up to the Omaha Zoo. We spent that night in the lap of luxury at the Hilton-courtesy of Grandpa Kevin's credit card :) The zoo had an awesome walk-through aquarium, underground bat cave, incredible gorilla habitat, and tiny tiger cubs!

And what Kansas trip would be complete without a trip to World's of Fun?! Alivia LOVED having Grandma Jean go on the rides with her. We even talked mom into going on one of the biggest, fastest roller coasters! Allyson and I suffered a couple blackeyes on the Timberwolf, but no permanent damage.

Our visit was SO MUCH FUN!! When can we go back again?

BINGO!!

This one's for you Allyson! We even had an extra blobber for you. Do I hear Wendover in December?

Moving In For The Kill

Well, I guess you can't start them too young. I knew Jett would be a ladies' man. As you can see, Grandpa Kevin is helping Jett pick up on girls already. There was a group of kids at the restaurant for homecoming, and the ladies thought Jett was cuter than their own dates. Jett tried moving in on the other males' territory, but the girls weren't willing to wait 18 years. Poor Jett's heart was broken. Don't worry slugger, we'll get them next time!

(Notice the smile on Jett's face.)

Happy Birthday Aunt Normandy!

While we were in St. George, Normandy had her 23rd birthday. Woohoo! A bunch of the family (immediate and extended) went to Texas Roadhouse for her birthday dinner. Poor Grandpa Kevin had his heart set on McDonalds, but he survived. Normandy got to ride the coveted invisible pony. Yeehaw!!

The Peanut Gallery

We got to see a bunch of the family because there's three cousins on the team. In the middle picture is Sadie, Taylor Jackson, Keziah Campbell, and Kinsley.
Steve Lawrence decided to fix the misting tubes at the fields. Instead, they fixed him up pretty good. Didn't anyone tell him that wet t-shirt contests are usually done in white shirts?

"Hot Shots" Rock!

Jett and I headed down to St. George for Madison's softball tournament. Ron couldn't come because he had school, work, and studying to do :( We had lots of fun, and everyone couldn't believe how big Jett has grown.

Two Buddies

How can I not be in love with these two?

Friday, August 31, 2007

Jett has his "way" cute crab outfit that cousin Alivia picked out especially for him. Jett can hold some of his toys if I help him get his fist around them. He thinks he's so big and cracks himself up. He loves to smile at mommy and daddy.

Jett likes being Grandpa Kevin's buddy. Grandpa Kevin hogs Jett from Grandma Jean when they baby sit. Jett thinks Grandpa Kevin's tummy is the perfect place to nap.
Grandma Jean spoiled Jett this summer. Jett got to attend "Grandma's Summer Camp" with the Lawrence girls. Jett likes being perched on Grandma Jean's shoulder as she goes about her business.
Thanks for letting us crash your place this summer!!!

Grandma Sally and Grandpa Layne live in Idaho. We like to go up and visit them for a few days when we can. Grandma Sally gives Jett her specialty "baby spa" which he loves. Jett also likes Grandma Sally's sweet songs.
Jett likes to talk to Grandpa Layne. Jett's hoping that Grandpa will teach him how to ride a horse and chase cows when he's big enough.

Jett with his "peeps". In the litter is: Claire Higbee, Jett, Charlie Jackson, and Riley Spear.

Jett loves his cousins. Here he is with his Lawrence cousins. He and Kinsley are great buddies. Kinsley likes to pet him, poke him, and screech at him. (Her little way of saying "I love you friend!"

Baby Jett with Grandma and Grandpa Stewart.

Baby Jett with Grandma Jackson.

And this is what we really look like most of the time..he, he, he...
